Table Types & Rates

Before restaurant admins can add tables to groups, table Types need to be created. Table Types are a way of identifying and classifying different types tables. Table Type names will be visible to customers when viewing tables and are used to set reservation rates and settings for similar types of tables. However, please note that whatever name is used for a table type, it has no impact on the actual properties of tables associated with the table type.

Manage Table Types & Rates

To view and manage table types, select 'Table Types & Rates' from the restaurant menu.

The Table Types & Rates page shows a list of table types at the restaurant. If no types have been entered yet, the list will be empty. If types have been entered, there will be a list of available table types and will also show the tax rate, weekday rate, weekend rate, and holiday rate associated with each type.

Add a New Table Type

To add a new table type, click on the 'Add Table Type' link at the bottom of the 'Table Types & Rates' page. This will bring up a page to add a new table type and configurable options that can be set for the new table type.

The first step when adding a new table type is to select a name for it. Next, enter in other information for the table type such as:

  • Weekday Rate
  • Weekend Rate
  • Holiday Rate
  • Minimum and Maximum Number of Duration Allowed
  • Maximum Number of People Allowed
  • Tax Rate
  • Additional Charges for People

    Edit a Table Type

    To edit a table type, click on the yellow pencil to the right of a table type in the list. This will take you to a page where you can edit settings and set preferences for the particular table type. The list of options will look similar to what you saw when adding a new table type.

    Remove a Table Type

    To remove a table type, click on the red X to the right of the table type list. Note: if there are any tables in the system that still use this table type, the delete option will not be available until these tables have been changed to a different type or have been removed.
